FHL Film No.385979, Middlesex County Probate Docket, page 376, Probate No. 3527lists, all on 6 Sep 1781, the Will, Declination of Samuel Burbank asExor & his recommendation of John Burbank as Admr., Assent of widow etal to probate of will, probate recorded at Vol. 61 page 157, Bond for2000 pounds by John Burbank of Holliston and will recorded at Vol. 61page 155. FHL Film No. 386045 has a copy of the will and the assentto probate, which read as follows::
"In the Name of God Amen. The Seventh Day of February Anno Domi 1778.I Samuel Burbank of Holliston in the County of Middlesex & State ofMassachusetts Bay in New England (Yeoman) calling to mind theMortality of my Body and Knowing that I must Die, recommending my Soulinto the hands of God that gave it, and my Body I recommend to theEarth, to be Buried in a Decent Christian Burial at the Disposition ofmy Executor. And as to the Worldly Estate: Wherewith it hath PleasedGod to Bless me in this Life, I give, demise and Dispose of the Samein the following Manner and form by this my Last will & Testament.
Imp_____I give and Bequeath unto Hannah my Wife the use of one half ofmy Dwelling House, meaning the westerly part of the Same from theCenter of the Chimny & the Celler under the Same House and also theuse of the oven in the Easterly Part of said house and of the Well forwater; together with all Priviledges she may need in using & Improvingthe westerly part of said house - meanining [sic] to Bequeath the SameDuring the sd Hannahs Natural life only. I also Give and Bequeath tothe sd Hannah all my household furniture to her own use and Disposalforever Together with her firewood & Provision for her ComfortableSupport and Shall hereafter order in this my Last Will and Testament.
Item: I Give to my Son Eben'r Burbank five Shillings which Togetherwith what he has heretofore received makes his full Portion in myEstate.
