Lottie Grace Spraker Neese, 92, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006. She was born July 2, 1913 in Wythe County, daughter of the late Daniel A. and Mae Rosenbaum Spraker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Neese; two children and daughter-in-law; infant Nancy June, Jimmie M. Neese and Greeta I. Neese; two infant grandsons, Justin D. and Jason D. Neese. She was a member of Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Paul Cassell of Riner, Va.; four grandsons, Brian DeHart, Kevin DeHart, Michael Neese and wife Christine, Christopher Neese and wife Erin; five great-grandchildren, Casey DeHart, Logan DeHart, Micah Neese, Della Grace Neese and Daniel Neese; two stepgrandchildren, R. Perry Cassell and wife Kelly, Virginia C. McMullen and husband Robin; one sister, Pearl Sheffey of Wytheville; one sister-in-law, Mabel K. Spraker of Gaithersburg, Md. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Petty officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Irene Funk, 3614 Grayson Turnpike, Wytheville, Va. 24382. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
