"Private funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at Brooks Funeral Home for Mrs. LaWayne Miller, 48, who died in a Tulare hospital yesterday.
The Rev. Allan Philp will officiate. Burial will follow at Visalia District Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born in Orosi. She received her schooling in the Ackland [sic] area and Visalia Union High School. She also attended a beauty college in Los Angeles and returned to the area in 1932, working for a beauty shop in Exeter and the DeLuxe Beauty Shop in Visalia.
Later she became part owner of the DeLuxe Beauty Shop and retired five years ago.
Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Greg Wimer of Visalia; two daughters, Patricia and Cherill Miller, both of El Monte and a brother, Lee Worthley of Visalia."
