Obituary in the Porterville Evening Recorder, Sat., Jan. 5, 1924:
"Springville Man Was Buried Today -
Lafayette Worthley, 49 years of age, a native of Springville and aresident of Cutler, died yesterday morning at 8 o'clock in asaniitarium in Cutler, according to information received inPorterville today. He had resided in Springville all of his life,until six months ago, when he moved to Cutler.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 o'clock this afternoon at theHopkins undertaking parlors in Dinuba. The Rev. Mr. Minney of theSultana Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in the Reedleycemetery.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Watson of Bakersfield andMrs. W. K. Knight of Cutler, and three brothers, William Worthley ofAukland, and A. L. and Randolph Worthley of Sultana."
