Will dated 17 Apr 1837 of "Jacob Barnhart Senior, of the County of Preble, State of Ohio, being very old and weak of body but of a sound and disposing mind"...bequeaths to daughter Catherine Babylon, $400; daughter, Mary Ecard, $400; daughter, Elizabeth Ecker, $400; daughter Sarah , $400; daughter Barbary Fulker and Peter Fulker the sum of $1.00 each in consequence of having already given them better than $400; daughter Liddia Fulker and Martin Fulker $1.00 each in consequence of having heretofore given them more than $400; daughter Susannah Barnhart $600 and household "stuff" such as beds; to said daughter Susannah Barnhart and my daughter-in-law, Sarah Barnhart, my eight-day clocks; son David Barnhart $100 having heretofore given him about $400; son Jacob, $1.00, having already given him about $400; my land in Allegany Co., MD, known by the name of Squirrel Hills, to be sold and the money divided equally among my nine children: namely, Catharine, Mary, Elisabeth, Sarah, Barbary, Liddia, Sussanah, David and Jacob share and share alike.
