My family can only trace our lineage back to:

John Wesley Vawter b1867 d 1954
He was either born in Iowa or raised there and was one of eightchildren.

He had two sons, Ralph Vawter (b ~1893) and Robert D. Vawter (born~1908) and his wife died in 1921.

I believe John died in Santa Ana, CA.

Sorry I don't have more details handy.

I pasted a message from 1998 from Larry Wilcox at the bottom becauseit contained Vawters in Iowa about the time my great grandfather wasborn.
Anyone have any info to help?
