Anna will be remembered for her compassion and generosity to others and for her love of genealogy.
In 1945 Anna graduated from Visalia Union High School and joined the Visalia Business Girls. Her love of research began around this time with her first job as a librarian at the Tulare County Public Library in Visalia. In the late 1940s she graduated from College of Sequoias and attended Fresno State University. Before her marriage to S. Pete Salierno in 1955, Anna worked at the Edison company and later at Traenor Equipment Company. As a volunteer in the early 1970s, she established and operated a children's library at Veva Blunt Elementary School and was a 4-H leader for cooking and sewing. In 1980, Anna established and operated a health food store, Valley Health, located inside the Visalia Mall from 1982 to 1990. From 1993 to 1997, Anna worked as a genealogist librarian at the Tulare Public Library.
Anna was a member of local historical societies and of genealogy societies throughout the country. These included Visalia Heritage, the Sequoia Genealogical Society, the Three Rivers Historical Society and the Tulare County Historical Society. Throughout the years, Anna also served as a volunteer at the California Farm Equipment Show and International Exposition in Tulare and helped organize class reunions for the Visalia Union High School class of 1945.
Born and raised by deaf parents, Anna's genealogy research included those of deaf citizens. Her research has been shared with the California School for the Deaf in Fremont.
