Lewis BACON

(2 Feb 1824 - 20 Apr 1899)

Lewis could be a brother of Nelson, or a close relative. Note sonnamed Julius. Also, he and Margaret were next door to Nelson in 1850census and had Peter Frenard, 30, born Canada (Frenier?) and MaryFrenard, 25, born Canada, and John Frenard, 9, born Canada, in hishousehold. With only 15 years separating Lewis and Nelson, it is muchmore likely they are brothers than father and son. Also possible Peteris Abigail Emma Frenier Bacon's brother.

As of 6 May 2010, it appears that Lewis is the son of Casimir Baconand Pelagie Giroux, so is a half-brother of Abigail Frenier, Nelson'swife.
