Rutherford Hayes Merriam

He attended the German Conservatory of Music in NYC and later published several compositions among them the march "Old Glory Goes By". He was associated with the American News Company in NYC and a salesman for the American Book Co. until his retirement in 1943. He removed to Fremont in 1953.
