FINGERS CUT OFF

Frank Holloway Meets With A Serious Accident

From Tuesday's Review

Frank Holloway, who was visiting in the home of his niece, Mrs. Luke Bell, north of town, met with a painful and serious accident yesterday. He was cutting kindling, and, as his left arm is stiff, he leaned forward in such a manner that he slipped, and the ax glanced and cut off his thumb and fingers.

Dr. G. A. Blasdel was summoned and he went out to the farm and dressed the wounded hand, but could not save the thumb and fingers.

This is a sad blow to Mr. Holloway. For years he has been engaged in railroading, and he had led an active life. This accident will necessitate his abandoning railroad work, and work a great hardship on him. We are truly sorry that he has met such a great misfortune.
