Robert Wolf Manly II

(19 Jun 1873 - )

M.S Cook (Gilmore) to LWH, Chillicothe, Oh, Sept. 30, 1883:
"Mary writes from Denver that she is comfortably fixed at housekeeping with the three boys.. She had sent Rob to the public schools for the first time and after two weeks experience he brought his books home and declared he would not return; that he would go to the University. He would not associate with such boys as he had to, at the public school. Upon inquiry she found out that he stood highest in his class but the boys called him aristocratic and "bounced" him and that he would not stand. The truth is that he always wanted the leadership and will have it..."

He was a graduate from the law school of the University of Michigan in 1896. He entered the practice of his profession at Chillicothe, Oh., in March 1897, and in 1900, formed a partnership with John C. Entreken. See History of Ross County, Ohio, vol. 2, pg. 582. (At Beta Theta Pi house at Ann Arbor, MI 1894)
