A.B., Centre College, Danville, KY, 1893; M.D. College of Physicians, Columbia Univ., 1896; He served as an intern in Bellevue Hospital, NY, from 1896 to 1898. He was then associated with Dr. Skillman. He was a specialist in internal medicine. During WW I he served as a captain in the Medical Corps, in service at Camp Taylor, Louisville. He was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and Surgeons and President of the Kentucky State Medical Association in 1939. He also practiced medicine in Lexington, KY;
