Military
Teamster, Battle of Plattsburg, Substitute for Isaiah Franklin or I. Martin in Capt. Amasa Mansfield's Company. (his uncle) and in Capt. John Johnson's or Oliver Taylor's Co, VT. Militia ac- cording to pension application, however there is no military record to prove it. Family tradition supports his claim. It is said that he had very poor feet, which he said were the result of the long march to Plattsburg in ill fitting boots.(See Ref:R0008)(See Ref:R0013).Endnotes
