Leonia first appears in the 1880 census with Adam and Rachel but is listed as a step-daughter. That would seem to indicate that she was the child of Rachel and an unknown man, apparently not her husband.
Other researchers list her as Mary Ann Wagoner's daughter but if that were the case, she would not be listed as step-daughter to Adam.
