Other researchers believe this is the Josephine Sims that married Elbert Clark Todd (see https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=111758369&ref=acom and https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=140149789&ref=acom) but I find no compelling evidence that Josephine Sims and Josie Sims are the same person. Since there are no death or birth records for either Josephine or Josie, it can be argued either way.
I have chosen to go with "Josie" in all 4 census records and therefore my Josie ends up in an asylum.
