The parentage of this person is controversial. The tree on Familysearch and the trees on Ancestry have two different sets of parents (both fathers are named William). The DNA matches seem to favor the Ancestry version because the double Botkin ancestry accounts for the relatively large about of DNA in the matches.

The difficulty is compounded because there appear to be two Joshua Botkins living in Clark County at the same time.
