John Shutt

(30 Mar 1766 - 8 Nov 1862)

John Shutt, was likewise born in the same county of Maryland, where as a boy it was his privilege to have heard Otterbein, the founder of the United Brethren church, preach on several occasions. He entered a tract of wild land in Pike township, and there passed the residue of his life, his death occurring in 1862, in his ninety-seventh year.
