We have been unable to find out much about Mary's ancestry. It seems likely that she was married and widowed before her marriage to John Holm and that she was living in Pike Township prior to marrying John but we have been unable to find any record of her prior to her marriage.

The attached article clipping calls this DOD into question. In the article, Henry Stands as guardian for Jeremiah Holm is selling off the property that Mary Kuntz Holm owned, as part of her estate, it appears. This article is dated Apr 9 1856.
