The following account came from an article written by Anna Lazell and her mother Joanna Thomas Lazell. There are some questions and differences than other sources! David and wife Ann (Rowlands) Thomas came to Delaware county to be with the rest of her family that had migrated in 1842. David and Ann left Liverpool on the ship "Louisiana" in July of 1844 and after a months voyage landed at New York then coming directly to Delaware County. Just less than a year later on July 8th David died. Exactly 1 month later on August 8th Ann died.
