Individual Details

Josephus S. Merry, who has been sick for several months at his home east of Caldwell died last Sundy aged 58 years. Mr. Merry was well known and highly respected citizen, a soldier of the war of revolution, and a Christian. He had been a great sufferer but bore his suffrings with fortitude. He was the father of A.M. Merry, of Byesville and Martin V of union county and three daughters. His remains were interred in the Olive Cemetery. reported by Susan K. Ratcliffe.
