James Auton Farrington

James served in the Spanish American War in Cuba from July 1898 to March 1899. He was a bugler and well known for playing "Taps" at special events and funerals.
James helped his father operate a paint and wallpaper store in Mechanicsburg and later his own store in Marion. In 1914 he started working in the commercial petroleum field. He retired in 1939 due to ill health.
