Luke (born in England) lived with his parents in Chambersberg, Franklin Co. PA. He came to Delaware, Co. Ohio with his father in 1836 and married his 1st wife there. He and Mary Ann moved on to Nebraska, building the first cabin in Lincoln. There is a plaque at 14th and O streets that tells of his first cabin. Mary and Luke divorced around 1870 and Luke remarried abt 1875 to Julia Hilton. Julia left Luke abt 1890. Luke went to Florence Alabama living in an isolated shack then committed suicide by gunshot September 30, 1894.
