Gravestone shows just 1938. Stabbed Christmas Eve at the Spurlock Cafe in a fight with Orville Stone, after Prater had made a disparaging racial remark. He died Christmas morning. Stone pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and was sent to the Ohio Penitentiary.
