From: Texas Birth Certificates, 1903-1935 (FamilySearch); United States Public Records, 1970-2009 (FamilySearch); TX Birth Certificate #145789 (probably a delayed certificate since it has a 1959 filing date on it). On this certificate, Jonathan Taylor Prater and Sarah Ellen McGinnis are listed as his parents, but on the 1930 Census, it shows his as being adopted; considering that Sarah would have been 54 at his birth, the Census is probably correct, but I have no idea who his birth parents were.Census
