Hiram PRATHER
(21 Feb 1908 - 14 Jul 1943)
Hiram was sent to prison and during an attempted escape the Warden of the prison, Jess Dunn, was killed. He had been sent to prison for murder. He and two others attempted an escape. During a gun battle that insued he was the only one that survived. Hiram was later executed for the death of Warden Jess Dunn. Hiram was listed in a new magazine which also featured John Wesley Hardin. This publication discussed Hiram and the "gang" that he ran with. This was published circa 1950/60. (note: name of publication unknown to this researcher at this time but it was seen by Hiram's son at the time).
