Skinner said Tuesday that District Judge Scott Westerchil, Division C of the 30th Judicial District Court, sentenced a Leesville woman to 40 years for manslaughter.Amber Lisotta, 31, pleaded guilty to the shooting death of Timothy Prather, 51, of Leesville.He was found dead at a residence Tilley Road, located in the area of Jeane Chapel Extension, last June.Prather’s employer went to check on him on a Tuesday after he failed to report for work on Monday.According to reports, when the employer arrived at Prather’s home, he met a woman he knew only as “Amber”. He told investigators she was in the house when he left to call 911. She fled before law enforcement arrived.Responding deputies found Prather dead, with a gunshot wound in his chest, likely from a long rifle recovered at the scene.Lisotta was arrested a short time later. -- Leesville Daily Leader 19 Apr 2016
