Came from Wayne County, Ohio to Berne, French Twp., Adams County, Indiana in covered wagon. Purchased Indiana land 27 October 1841 at Ft. Wayne, Indiana general land office. Had three land patents in Adams County west of Berne in Section 36. Locations shown in Family Maps of Hendricks County, Indiana. Land is at the northeast corner of State Route 218 and County Road 400W.
