There is confusion concerning Mary Smith's parents. On page 1162 Williams gave conflicting information. He refered to Mary as William Smith's and Nancy Huffer's daughter, but he also listed Mary as the daughter of Joshua Smith (William and Nancy's son) and Sarah Bomershine. Furthermore, Williams said there were 8 children of William and Nancy, but listed only 6, if Mary is Joshua's daughter. I believe the most likely answer is that Mary Smith is William Smith and Nancy Huffer's daughter, and Williams made a punctuation error when he listed Mary as Joshua's daughter. If this is correct, William and Nancy's eighth child is missing. Probably, the missing child is listed, incorrectly, as a child instead of a sibling of one of the other children of William and Nancy.
