Sylvester Fisher came to Rio Linda, California around 1923 with his parents. His brother, Walter, and he went into business as electricians. Later, he and Walter moved to Rio Vista, California, and went into the excavating business as Fisher Brothers. Sylvester served as mayor of Rio Vista from 1965 July to 1970 June.
