Individual Details
(22 Jul 1802 - 16 Jan 1890)
Peter Nissley was a farmer and a minister for the Kraybill Mennonite Congregation. His farm on Donegal Springs Road, Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, may have been a stop on the Underground Railroad that helped slaves escape to the north. Peter's diary mentioned 213 visitors to the farm. These visitors may have been runaway slaves. For more information, see the Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage, April 2017, article.
