Individual Details
Christian Wyand Senior
( - 1812)
Christian Wyand came to America from Bavaria, Germany. His last name can be spelled "Wyandt," "Viont," "Viant," and "Weyandt." He was a wine maker.
Williams speculated that Christian Wyand, Andrew Putnam and Adam Snyder (also spelled "Schneider") were friends in Germany who joined together to come to America and start new lives. Williams went on to assert that Putnam and Snyder were already family men, but Wyand was a youth when he came to America. The Wyands pioneered in Stark County, Ohio.
An historical account of the Wyand family was written by E. C. Wyand before 1906.

Notes
Marriage
Christian Wyand, Sr. and marriage was given by Williams as in 1783. This date is after three of their children's birth dates. I believe the more likely date for the marriage is 1773.Endnotes
