Edward E. Nixdorf

Edward Nixdorf was a Civil War veteran. He enlisted in 1862 September 12, and lied about his age, as a private with Company C, 17th Pennsylvania Cavalry (162nd Pennsylvania). He mustered in on 1862 October 19, deserted on October 20, arrested in 1863 December 8, and returned to duty without a court martial. Edward was wounded at the Battle of Reams Statoin, Kearneysville, Virginia, on 1864 August 25. After recovering from his wounds, he was discharged on 1865 June 29.
