I. Woodrow Newpher

Woodrow Newpher was an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent from 1940 to 1973. He began the FBI's lab as a cryptanalyst; participated in the German microdot investigation in Europe during World War II; worked on Soviet bloc communications intelligence matters during the Cold War. Her retired as a section chief. Woodrow graduated from Terre Hill High School in 1933, and from Franklin and Marshall College, with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and German in 1937.
