Lester Spangler

Lester Spangler moved to Los Angeles, California, and became a successful race car driver. In May 1993, he qualified with the seventh fastest speed, 116 MPH, for the Indianapolis 500 car race. On lap 132 of the 200 lap race, he collide with another car and both his mechanic and he were ejected from the car. Both died.
