Alexander Neill, III, graduated from St. James College in 1863. He practiced law in Washington County, Maryland. In 1870 he was elected to the state House of Delegates. He also served as a school commissioner and auditor of the Washington County court. Alexander was president of Hagerstown Bank, Hagerstown, Maryland aand aa director of the Mutual Insurance Company.
