Abram Simmons came to America from England with Leonard Calvert, brother of Cecil Calvert. Abram landed at St. Mary's, Maryland on 25 March 1634. in 1702 Abram Simmons received 3,500 acres of land on Deer Creek in Baltimore County, Maryland. He grew tobacco on the lands.
