Lewis Downey Senior
(Abt 1811 - Abt 1848)
Lewis Downey was an overseer of slave laborers on a plantation for many years. He later bought a farm near Williamsport, Maryland. In 1847 he and his family moved to Ogle County, Illinois. There Lewis drove wagons to and from Chicago, Illinois. He belonged to the Disciple Church.
