Joshua W. Rohrer

Joshua Rohrer taught school in Locust Grove, Maryland, Fayette County, Pennsylvania and near Mount Morris, Illinoiis. He farmed for a while in Missouri. During the Civil War, he served with Company D, 2nd Cavalry, Missouri Volunteers. They were known as "Merrill's Horse." He was a captain when discharged from the United States Army in 1865.
