Jacob Kauffman

(16 Jul 1752 - 21 Jun 1840)

Jacob Kauffman rebuilt the Windom Mill in 1810-1811, and sold "J. Kaufman Super Fine" flour until they went bankrupt in 1824. The buildings at Windom Mill were added in 1994 to the National Register of Historic Places. The include the mill, the house build in 1763 by Sameul Herr and Anna Herhsey, a limestone farm house build around 1790, and a stone end Pennsylvania bank barn built around 1800.
