William Eikenberry, a science teacher, became superintendent of schools. He studied at Mount Morris College, University of Michigan and the University of Chicago. He was an elder in the Church of the Brethren. William taught at Mount Morris College, Saint Louis High School, University of Chicago, University of Kansas, Teachers College in Trenton, New Jersey, Temple University, Princeton University, Oregon Agricultural College, University of Montana, Detroit Teachers College and Harvard. (I guess he had trouble holding down one job.) He authored several textbooks, and retired to Polo, Illinois.
