John W. Stonebraker

John Stonebraker helped his father, Gerard Stonebraker, operate Rockland Woolen Mill and farmed. He also operated a paper mill in Hagerstown, Maryland. After several new mills were built, he became the owner of Antietam Paper Company. In 1879 John Stonebraker became a partner in J. W. Stonebraker and Company of Funkstown, Maryland; it manufactured fertilizer. He also organized the Windsor Knitting Mills. John Stonebraker served as a County Commissioner of Washington County, Maryland for 4 terms. He was a Republican. He was a Presbyterian.
