Individual Details

John Thompson Ankeney

(28 Dec 1809 - 8 Jan 1884)

John Ankeney and Ann Newcomer had twelve children, but two died before reaching maturity. John owned a large farm. He was a deacon and an elder in St. Paul's Reformed Church.
The IGI listed the month as May or June for John Ankeney's and Ann Newcomer's marriage. Williams noted the date as about 1840. Williams's approximation convinces me the IGI date is the one I want even though the IGI name uses different middle initials (B. and L.) than Williams (T.).
