Virginia Lane gives Christian's parents as the Christian Newcomer who came to America in 1742 aboard the Frances and Elizabeth on page 106, but on page 11 Virginia says that Christian may not be the parents.

The Christian who married Catherine Nissley resided in Bethel Township (now part of Berks County, but part of Lancaster County up to 1752).
