Visited with me in 1999. Ralph as a young man was slightly retarded and after his mother's death he lived with his brother Alec's in-laws, Arthur Herbert and Margaret Brumpton in Brisbane.
He went to a special school in the Valley. He got in with the wrong crowd and eventually became an alcoholic. He was seen occasionally through the years but he normally crossed the street and ran away. In the late 1990's he recontacted the family visited with his sister who refused to see him. Visited with his brother Alec and stayed for three weeks. A year later he came to Nanango and stayed for a couple of days. I offered him a home for life if he would not drink but he realized that was not possible and left. Had not heard from him since May 2000. Contacted on his death and took care of his small estate.
