John Eldridge was a leader of Kings Town, Rhode Island. He carried the title of Captain. In 1697 he became the town treasurer for Kings Town. In 1703 he was the moderator of town meetings and a member of the town audit committee. He was a member of the committe that negotiated with Indian Chief Ninigrest about lands in Narragansett.
