Elias W. Eby

Elias Eby ran a mill and a farm along Hammer Creek in Elizabeth Township, Lancaster County, Pennslyvania. After his mill burned down on 10 December 1849, Elias rebuilt it on the opposite bank. It was know as the Willow Bank Mill, but bankruptcy led to the sale of the mill to Henry Hess on 28 November 1853.
Elias was elected as Sheriff for Lancaster County in 1852. By 1860, he was a barkeeper in Lancaster.
