Jacob Harper

Jacob Harper was a section boss on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. Later, he "was engaged in the hotel business" at the City Hotel in Sharpsburg, Maryland and at the United States Hotel in Boonsboro, Maryland. Both were owned by his son-in-law, Elie Wade.
