Peter Bowman was listed as a child of Christian (1700-1735) and Barbara Bowman by Pearl Hoover, but Emmert Bittinger does not believe that Peter was a the son of Christian and Barbara Bowman. However, Bittinger also does not believe the birth date often given for Peter of September 1726 because it would be very late for Anna to give birth. Thus, Peter, son of Wendel, may have been born earlier and confused with a Peter born in 1726, or Wendel may have had a second wife if Anna died much earlier that the 1735 date.
