Henry Bohna

Henry Bohna migrated to El Monte, California, in 1859 with his father. They soon went on to Bakersfield, California. His father and he sought to strike it rich in the mining throughout the 1860s, first in the White River District, then Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and, by 1867, back to Woody, California, which is near Bakersfield. By 1872, Henry Bohna had turned to farming and ranching. In 1894 he won election to the Kern County Board of Supervisors from the third district.
