Jacob Good Senior

(Abt 1712 - 1777)

Jacob Good came to America later than his father, Peter Gut. Jacob emigrated from the Palatinate on the ship Samuel, arriving in Philadelphia in 11 August 1732 with his wife, Susanna Scherer. He was among the first European settlers in Brecknock Township, Pennsylvania. He warranted land on Muddy Creek on 15 June 1738. Jacob Good divided his farm and gave half to each son, Peter and Jaocb, Jr.
